Vintage 1911 RELIABLE Flour Biscuits and Cakes Advertising Cookbook Boston, MA This "Biscuits and Cakes" Cookbook by Reliable Flour was a great advertising cookbook published by Reliable Flour Co. Boston, Massachusetts in 1911. The book is 7" by 4 & bound securely with two staples (both intact but some rust). The cookbook is a 63 page recipe booklet. In addition to many recipes using Reliable flour for breads, desserts, pies, etc.. they included educational baking sections on cake making, puddings, sauces and instructions on how to measure with spoons and measuring cups. Condition: VG, with no tears, missing pages, ragged corners, ink or pencil marks. There are some spots from use over the century. The staples have some rust but are holding tightly and securely. This "Biscuits and Cakes" Cookbook by Reliable Flour was a great advertising cookbook published by Reliable Flour Co. Boston, Massachusetts in 1911.
The book is 7" by 4" & bound securely with two staples
(both intact but some rust).
The cookbook is a 63 page recipe booklet. In addition to many recipes using Reliable flour for breads, desserts, pies, etc.. they included educational baking sections on cake making, puddings, sauces and instructions on how to measure with spoons and measuring cups.
Condition: VG, with no tears, missing pages, ragged corners, ink or pencil marks. There are some spots from use over the century.
The staples have some rust but are holding tightly and securely.
