Here is a
Royal Copenhagen
Blue Fluted 16-point serving dish, Number 1/141.
This is the middle size of the elegant 16-point blue fluted serving dishes that were made by RC (now discontinued). They are hard to find and highly sought after. It is especially rare to have an old piece in such good condition as this one, since the painting and firing is difficult, and the points chip easily.
It is a
factory first
in
excellent used condition.
There are no cracks or chips
. There are a few shallow utensil marks/scratches. And there are a few small firing marks, errant paint marks and glaze imperfections. These are not very noticeable and, moreover, standard in old pieces like this one.
Markings indicate that this is an old piece from the period
1924-1934
.
The dish has a 6 5/8 inch diameter and a 1 1/2 inch height.
The piece is beautiful, well-proportioned and can be used for many different purposes. The painting on the sides makes it perfect for display on a mantle or shelf around eye level.
