    Description

    This is a
Royal Copenhagen Blue Fluted Full Lace Large Coffee Pot, Number 1/1030
    .
    This is a gorgeously painted
    factory first
pot. It was hand made and hand painted in Denmark in the period 1900-1923.
The coffee pot has the famous, elegant full lace pattern, with twin gargoyles beneath the spout and handles. It is full of incredible painted and textured details. It is a very sculptural piece and a work of art.
There are a few areas of expertly done
    repairs
. A section of the lacing on the lid has been rebuilt and repainted, and parts of 3 of the 6 feet at the base of the pot have been re-painted. It is my opinion that these repairs do not detract from the overall grace and value of the piece. It is clear that very skilled artisans were sought out for the job -- they are among the best repairs I have seen. I have done my very best to provide pictures of them here.
The coffee pot is 8 1/2 inches tall and it holds a little less than 2 cups. It is a rare, sought after design that is no longer produced.
Other than the repairs mentioned, there is no other damage to the coffee pot. Other than some discreet air bubbles in the glaze, there are no apparent flaws.
