Unbleached undyed pure wool textile encasement holds approx. ten pounds of 100% eco-friendly wool batting, pre-compressed and hand tufted here in our shop to provide firm, healthy support for growing bones and muscles. Babies sleep deeper on wool beds; it's proven! Wool is cool in summer and warm in winter. No other fiber can compare. Totally non-itchy. Wool resists moisture, mold, dust mites and allergens. All our wool is harvested and processed locally without the use of chemicals at any stage in the production. This mattress will become a family heirloom as it gets passed down. Use with our washable wool textile puddle pad protector to keep it clean and our organic hemp/cotton crib sheets.

CARE INSTRUCTIONS:  Mattress itself is not washable, because it would felt.  Besides, it won't fit in a washing machine! Please keep covered at all times when in use with our 100% Eco-Wool textile mattress protector/puddle pad.  Blot soiled area with a white towel and spot clean with a solution of plain water and hydrogen peroxide or diluted Kookaburra Wash and air dry very well.  If soiled area is large we suggest using a green dry cleaner.  We also suggest periodic airing of our mattresses and comforters out in the Sun to keep them smelling fresh and clean.
