I trust this brand for my own bed, why wouldn't I trust it for my own newborn. You don't have to pay hundreds of dollars to find a great mattress. Sales person of course only recommended the higher priced, luxurious, lightweight foam style mattresses but I've purchased this brand for my other children and knew better.

I have had this mattress for about 6 1/2 months, my son likes it I believe since he does sleep on it through most of the night. I am considering a mattress pad to make it more soft for him, he has peed through but no damage to the mattress,

Returns
