    RECORD
    COVER/SLEEVE
    GRADING:
    MINT
    :
    No indication of being handled outside of a new store. The record cover has no problems, no creases, no ring wear, no seam wear.
    Near Mint (NM):
    Covers are free of creases, ring wear and seam splits of any kind.
    Very Good Excellent (VG++)
    :
    Very minor wear having one or two insignificant areas to be noted.
    Slight rub or similar that is evident on close inspection.
    Covers should be close to perfect with very minor signs of wear or age just becoming evident: slight ring-wear, minor denting to a corner, or writing on the cover should all be noted properly.
    Very Good plus (VG+) :
    Covers should have only minor wear. The sleeve may have very minor seam wear or a split (less than one inch long) at the bottom, the most vulnerable location. The cover may have some defacing. The cover may have light ring wear, or a crease, a perfectly acceptable record cover if Near Mint is not essential for you.
    Very Good (VG):
    Covers will have many signs of human handling. Ring wear in the middle or along the edges of the cover where the record would reside, is obvious, though not overwhelming. Seam splitting will be more obvious; it may appear on all three sides, though it won’t be obvious upon looking. Overall general wear, with contour creasing, seam wear or other imperfections.
    Very Good Minus (VG-):
    Not taken care of. List if RARE only.

    GRADING:
    MINT:
    This grade is not used unless the record is still sealed (even unplayed records are graded). A perfect or near perfect record, probably unplayed.
    VG++ or E+ (Excellent):
    A record with few faint scratches and/or few faint surface marks that do not affect play.
    The record has been handled and played infrequently or very carefully
    . A VG++ is at the very high end of a VG+.
    Very Good Plus (VG+):
    Faint scratches and/or some faint surface marks that do not affect play, still highly collectable.  Minor signs of handling are OK. Some of the original luster may be lost.
    Very Good (VG):
    A record with some scratches and/or some surface marks. Record might have minimal surface noise. They lack most of the original gloss found on factory-fresh records. When played, a VG record will have some surface noise, and some scratches may be audible, especially in soft passages and during a song’s into and ending. BUT the noise will not overpower the music otherwise. (G = Good) = G Good does not mean bad!
    Very Good Minus (VG -):
    This grading is not used. We choose not to sell records that have severe damage and scratches or scuffs that would compromise the overall enjoyment or pleasure of your listening experience.
