1953 (Y-4) Gillette President, Rhodium Plated, Case

Description

Presenting a rare and  highly sought after 1953 (Y-2) Gillette President in case with blade dispenser. The President was the only U.S. made razor to have a rhodium plated handle, the head is plated in shiny nickel. The President was only made in 1953 making it a rare find.
The base plate is stamped REG.U.S., MADE IN U.S.A., PAT.OFF, with the Gillette Diamond, and date code Y-4. The TTO mechanism works nice and smoothly. The silo doors have some minor plating loss as can be seen in the photos. The Gillette 10 blade dispenser is still sealed.
The case is in excellent condition, opens and shuts nicely and the interior is clean.
