    Description

I need to clear some space on my shelves, so I need to part with some of my collection. It seems like Star Trek has been around forever. I was just a kid when it (now called The Original Series) was on and I remember I wasn’t allowed to stay up to watch it. I only got to see it in syndication in the early 70’s when it was on between school and dinner. The whole family watched, except for dad, who was working (like a chump). Now there have been quite a few spin-offs, extensions and reboots which just confirm that the premise is timeless and compelling. The Original Series used actual models for all of their craft, as opposed to the digital models used later. Now you can have one of your own, in case you want to create a Star Trek series of your own.
There are about a dozen listings for this kit on eBay (in various conditions), but as a Top Rated Plus US Seller, I have this in stock and can reliably ship this to you very quickly. Here is some of the information that I have found online about this fun
    kit:
Round 2 is known for re-issuing popular kits from other lines, like AMT, but this is a brand new tool, so it is their own creation. Unfortunately, the round2corp.com site has no listing for this kit, so it may be Out Of Production or Discontinued. From other sources, I have found the following information about the kit
    :
Besides the Klingons, the most well-known villains in Star Trek (TOS) were the Romulans. It is a little-known fact that the two enemy races had formed an alliance that allowed them to trade military technology with each other. One result of the pact was the Romulan version of the D-7 Battle Cruiser as depicted in "The Enterprise Incident". In the episode, the U.S.S. Enterprise was surrounded by Romulan commanded versions of the ship. This kit brings the concept to life with blazing Romulan bird graphics that truly set it apart from its Klingon counterpart.

New spin on an iconic enemy ship
Star Trek ships are as popular or mysterious as the infamous Romulan Bird-of-Prey. The villainous ship played a key roll in the STAR TREK: The Original Series episode “Balance of Terror.” The ship’s iconic design and blazing bird graphic have been painstakingly researched to deliver the utmost in authenticity in this snap-together model kit. The kit features all decals needed to decorate the ship accurately. It also includes a dome display base and pictorial assembly instructions.
Scalemates.com has a listing for this kit and confirms that it was a 2013 release based on the Klingon D7 Battlecruiser kit from 2004. There is a link to download the complete instruction set of a sibling Klingon D7 kit (POL #806), but little other useful information about this kit.
I could not find any reviews of this exact kit but found one on an earlier release (POL #806) which appears to be the same kit since it contains both Klingon and Romulan decals (as does this kit).
Bernd Heller did a nice First Look Review of the similar Klingon D7 kit (POL #806) on the German-language modellversium.de site. There are two photos that show all of the parts spread out and another pair to show the decal and sticker sheets (they are identical). He lists a few strengths and weaknesses, but in the end concludes with: “
The kit of the D7 Battlecruiser can not hide its toy character. However, a SiFi modeler will not be deterred and think: "Nice to have"!

John Lester gives us a Preview of the Klingon D7 kit (POL #806) on the starshipmodeler.com site that describes the parts and supports that with photos. He describes the assembly process and gives his assessment of fit and detail. He recommends gluing the parts to make sure everything stays together and summarizes with: “
it's a perfect subject for any modeler to practice their basic modeling skills, and it does offer plenty of opportunities for the super-detailer and the kitbasher alike.

This modern kit is in an intensely decorated box about 9.25” x 6.5” x 4”. As you can see from the pictures, the box is in great shape and still snug in its original shrink wrap, so it is
    factory sealed and absolutely gift-ready.
This item contains one complete model kit with 37 grey, chrome and red plastic parts, a wire frame stand and a black plastic base, along with the real star of the show: the immaculate decal and sticker sheets. It requires paint, but no glue (snap together assembly!) to complete as shown. I use eBay Managed Payments, but I no longer ship internationally. Auction winner pays the winning bid, and for a limited time, I am offering this nostalgic kit with

Those familiar with my listings can tell that I really enjoy these products and the modeling hobby. I like to provide more than just the bare facts about the items, trying to lead you into discovering more about the subjects and optimizing your builds (if that is your goal). I started out picking up models that I was interested in, with the eye toward building them when I had time. Always a bargain-hunter, I accumulated many more than I can build, so I found myself in a Collector status (sounds nicer than a hoarder).
As I am sure you have noticed, my items are almost always sealed and in mint condition (I call them Gift-Ready), since I only open them when I am ready to build them. Now I enjoy making these products available to my fellow modelers; both Builders and Collectors. For the Builders, there are probably better (at least cheaper) ways to add to your project lists than buying from me, but you know you are getting top quality. For Collectors, my goal is to save you a few bucks over the competition for the same item in factory sealed and collectible (or resellable) condition.
